Temporary Modular Classroom – Project Overview

We delivered a fully insulated, high-quality temporary classroom building to support growing student numbers. Designed for year-round use, the modular timber frame structure provided a fast, cost-effective, and compliant solution without permanent construction.

Phase 1: Demolition & Groundworks
Works included removal of existing sheds and concrete base, excavation, and formation of a new foundation system with MOT Type 1 and a reinforced concrete slab.

Phase 2: Modular Classroom Build
We constructed a timber frame classroom featuring:

• Insulated floor, wall, and roof build-ups

• Douglas Fir external cladding

• UPVC windows and secure door sets

• Felt roofing system

• Full internal fit-out including partitions, finishes, and decoration

• Sanitary facilities with plumbing and drainage

• External works including reinstatement and site make-good
