📍Project Overview

We were appointed to deliver a full refurbishment of the washroom facilities at a local school, encompassing two large sets of girls’ toilets, the lobby area, and a disabled WC. The project aimed to modernise the facilities, improve hygiene, durability, and accessibility, and enhance the overall environment for students and staff.

Girls’ Toilets – Locations 01 & 02

🧱 Key Works Undertaken

• Complete strip-out of existing cubicles, vanity units, sanitary ware, duct panelling, dispensers, and flooring.

• Retained existing quarry tiles where possible, levelling with latex screed for new flooring.

• Installed new cubicles (8 in Girls 01 and 14 in Girls 02).

• Supplied and installed solid surface vanity units with washtroughs for durability and hygiene.

• Fitted new sanitary ware including 22 WCs and 14 non-concussive taps across both areas.

• Installed Bioclad hygienic wall cladding for long-term cleanliness and moisture resistance.

• Added vinyl safety flooring, cap and cove skirting, and privacy film to windows.

• Electrical upgrades included hand dryers and extract ventilation.

• Replaced and decorated exposed joinery, new mirrors, and updated ironmongery and door sets.

♿ Disabled Toilet

💡 Focused on Accessibility

The disabled washroom was refurbished in accordance with Doc M compliance:

• Full strip-out of outdated sanitary ware and finishes.

• Installed a complete Doc M sanitary pack, including support rails and accessible WC.

• New vinyl flooring, cap and cove skirting, Bioclad wall cladding, and sanitary sealing.

• Upgraded hand dryer, tested existing disabled alarm system, and installed new mirrors.

🚪 Lobby

🧼 Compact but Complete

The lobby area was updated and given a face lift:

• Installed new oak veneer fire-rated doors and a plywood-faced service door, complete with ironmongery.

• New flooring, wall finishes, and emulsion decoration.

• Works included clean and clear on completion to ensure a ready-to-use facility.
